Todd LaVine - Founder

Todd LaVine is a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and follower of Jesus Christ who brings over four decades of leadership, life experience, and ministry into every relationship he serves. Now 60 years old, Todd has been walking with Christ for 38 years, ever since his wife, Jodi, led him to the Lord at the very beginning of their journey together. Their 38-year marriage is the foundation of Todd's ministry, and their mutual commitment to personal and spiritual growth has created the kind of Christ-centered, joyful, and enduring marriage Todd now helps others pursue.

Todd has lived a life of depth and variety. He has been a husband for 38 years, a father for 33, and a proud grandfather to four grandsons for the last 8 years. He understands the real-life pressures, pain points, and possibilities within marriage, family, and professional life. His career spans more than 40 years in both ministry and business, with roles including Executive Pastor, business owner, regional manager, and consultant. He has successfully led multi-unit operations, launched new businesses, revitalized struggling teams, and served in executive leadership for churches and organizations across several industries. His business background adds a practical, grounded edge to his pastoral care.

In 2021, Todd launched Agape Pastoral Services, LLC, a Christ-centered ministry that provides premarital counseling, marriage coaching and counseling, and men’s mentoring and consulting. This ministry is built upon the transformational truth of Romans 12:2 and focuses on helping individuals and couples renew their minds, live with purpose, and pursue God’s design for their lives and relationships. Whether working with couples in crisis, walking alongside those preparing for marriage, or helping men rediscover their God-given identity, Todd brings biblical truth, real-life wisdom, and Spirit-led guidance to each session.

Todd's passion for premarital counseling took root in the early 2000s when he began seeing firsthand the power of helping couples start strong. In 2008, he formally launched Agape Premarital Counseling after discovering the effectiveness of remote counseling while working with a long-distance couple in the Navy. Since then, Todd has worked with nearly 200 pre-married couples from across the country and around the world, offering biblical tools and real-life perspective to help them build strong, enduring, Christ-centered marriages. Today, through Agape Pastoral Services, Todd continues to offer both in-person sessions in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area and virtual coaching worldwide.

After a season in the secular marketplace, Todd returned to full-time ministry in October 2022, answering the Lord's call to devote his life fully to helping couples experience lasting transformation in their lives and marriages. Having worked with over 350 clients from all walks of life, Todd brings a deep well of experience, empathy, accountability, and insight to every person and couple he serves. His greatest joy is witnessing breakthrough, healing, and restored hope in those who once thought it was too late.

Todd is a firm believer that time is one of our greatest assets, and the best investment we can make is to offer God our "First and Best" each day. This principle guides not only his daily walk but also the way he leads others. Todd and Jodi’s marriage, their family legacy, and their commitment to helping others live out victorious Christian lives is the heartbeat behind Agape Pastoral Services.
