Here is a step by step look at our process:
This is a tough one, but at the same time it is an opportunity to honor the deceased, relive fun memories from their life, and to celebrate their life and accomplishments! It's also an opportunity in my experience to share Jesus with those in attendance. Not to proselytize to them, but instead to share the grace, love, and mercy of God with those who are grieving and perhaps having a difficult time dealing with the loss of their loved one.
When attending a funeral, there is no greater point in time where someone is more aware of their own mortality and the reality that they too will die at some point in time. I view a funeral service as an opportunity to pass on the legacy of the person that has passed to those in attendance by sharing their faith and beliefs.
What do I mean by that? I had the heartache and honor of officiating my sister-in-law's funeral back in 2012. Before Keli passed, she asked me if I would officiate her funeral. She was emphatic about me sharing the Gospel to her friends that she knew would be in attendance. She said, "Todd, many of my friends don't know Jesus and I need them to hear about Him." I officiated that Celebration of Life Service and over 40 people gave their lives to Christ that day!
In my humble opinion, there is no greater legacy than one can pass along than leading people to Christ and ensuring they will spend eternity in Heaven.
Step #1 - Schedule a free, no cost, Discovery Call to learn more about me officiating your Celebration of Life Service and to get your questions answered.
Step #2 - If you choose to move forward, we'll meet together to design a service the way you want it with the elements and content to personalize the service for you and your family. In this meeting we'll not only talk about the elements and order of the service, but I'll spend time getting to know you and the deceased better so I can make the service more personal and about their life and accomplishments.
Step #3 - Decide to what extent you want me involved. Would you like me at the viewing and/or the grave site, or do you just need me to officiate the service? The level of time involvement will determine the cost of my services in officiating the celebration of life.
Step #4 - Start crafting what the service will look like. We'll work together to craft a beautiful service that honors and celebrates your loved one and includes the different elements you want to make it the way you want it. We'll determine the order and flow of the service, who's involved, and whether or not there will be eulogies, Bible readings, and a short message. I'll start by sending you some samples of funerals I've done in the past and we'll then begin to craft yours exactly the way you want it.
* I will only perform Biblical, Christ Centered Funeral Services and I reserve the right to decline performing a service at my sole discretion and availability.
